Forest by the Hills is a pristine 300 acre forest near the Tata Power Project in Karjat. This 300 acre land parcel was under the single ownership of Nath Seeds, a leading seeds company based out of Aurangabad. Mr. Nandkishor Kagliwal, the chairman of Nath Seeds had committed to preserve this forest way back in the 1970s. In addition to the native flora, lot of teak wood was planted, which later converted this mountain into a lush green mountain with a verdant valley. 3 years back, a possibility was discussed to develop a second homes community in this forest. The possibility led to the Forest by the Hills project. Right from day 1, it was conceived to be a project where forests would meet communities that cared for forests.
